Industry Nine Wheels with DT Swiss XRC 330 Carbon Fiber Rims

Does anyone have pics of the I9 wheelset with DT Swiss 330 Carbon Fiber rims? They made a set for Interbike, but I can't find any pics.

Here's a pic of the DT carbon rims...

Very nice indeed, have you gotten a price quote on those wheels yet....I expect them to set you back a few dollars. Syncros is suppose to have 330 gram carbon rims also, but they may only come as a complete wheelset. I'm interested in hearing more about those too. Let us know what you find out along the way.

yeah, wheelset prices are crazy these days. I could barely swallow my I9 ultralites. My wife was even worse off with the purchase! Sorry Flyer, no specs I've seen on syncros rims as of yet(pic are up here from I-bike somewhere at MTBR.com). I'll be a bit surprised if they make the market this year honestly.

5K for Fulcrums??? Gotta be kidding me on that one! Its gonna be an interesting year to be in the bike biz I suspect.

I think those carbon rims would fold on me if I even looked at them. Beautiful to look at though.

    Something like that.

Actually have though about the carbon rims and what a sweet build they would be. However has any one actually taken a close look at their al rims after riding through a loose rocky section of trail. I've seen large dents in the side walls of rims from the rocks. What effect would that have on the carbon version? I'm thinking complete wheel failure. I'll wait a few years until all the issues are sorted and this is a proven technology for the application.

could the xrc330 logos be taken off the rims or are they imprinted into the carbon?

My guess, raw carbon + logo + clear = finished product

What would you rather buy DT Swiss XRC 1250 for $3300 or Industry nine w/XRC 330 rims for $2300, thats a whooping $1000 difference. weight is 1250 grams vs 1370 grams, but I would imagine the I9 is much stiffer.

So it's been a few years now, and the technology is definitely proven... Still waiting or have you piked some up for yourself?
