    Anyone Own a Wojcik Monkeybutt???

Thinking of getting a 29er steel H-Tail, love small builders, especially east coast ones..Did Ted Ever build more than just the prototype and does anyone own one??

Liam - A second Monkey Butt is coming out of the powdercoat oven en route to me as my demo bike.

I believe Ted has built one or two others since the initial Monkey Butt that was featured on www.ridemonkey.com

Feel free to shoot me an email at mmcg25@gmail.com if you'd like. I'm hoping to receive the new frame soon and get her built up and can arrange some ride time on it for you if you so desire.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Update for ya:

She arrived safely yesterday - always a fun site to come home to - a frame box waiting at your door.

I wish it were a bit sunnier out:

    New Head Tube Logo:

    Same classic downtube stickers!

    Details:

    Dig this sticker too:

    Messy work area:

She'll be featuring a Reba SL UTurn:

Some additional work still needs to be done, but she's getting closer.

Aktion called the color Mop Handle Blue. It looks like Indigo to me.
I think that's what I'll call her - "Indigo" she is!

Feel free to PM or email me at mmcg25@gmail.com for more details or to set up a time to meet for a demo/test ride (She's available!).

Stay tuned for future updates. I hope to have her done soon!

Congratulations Harry! Where do you live?

It would be fun to organize a Ted 29er group ride somewhere. Maybe here in CT somewhere as I know of owners in MA, Long Island and of course my demo bike here in CT.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Status Report - Update - she's done!!

So we got her finished up on Friday night, but the weekend was crazy busy. Got home tonight, snapped a few photos and took her out for her maiden shakedown ride. Good times! Bike handled great, the Reba U-Turn rocked on it, and I had big grins for the short ride on some local trails right down the street. Quick jaunt but enough time to get a good feel for her. And she feels real good!

    Real Real Good.

She's set up with a little extra cable and housing so that different sized (taller) riders than me will have some flexibility in stem/handlebar set-up/choice. I dig her with the Origin 8 bars, but some might prefer flat bars or low risers (we can accommodate!). Also room for longer stems for taller guys and/or gals. 2x9 drivetrain with XT bb and cranks set up 32:22 with a bashguard, 11:34XT cassette, SRAM X9 triggers paired up to a SRAM 9.0 rear derailleur, Syncross hoops, Hayes Mags with Razor rock levers with 8" rotors (She's a Trail Bike after all!) Reba U Turn, Thomson stem and post, Origin 8 Space Bars, Pedros Grips, Exiwolf in back, Mountain King in front. Surprisingly good combo tonight! Overall just a fun solid 29er trail bike!!

    Parting "Butt" Shot (pun intended)

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Turkey Day Ride Pics!

I took her out this morning for a little Pre-Turkey ride action. A few pics from the ride. Such a great morning to be out on the bike! And a pretty damned fun bike to be out on too!

Photos from 11/27/08 Turkey Day Ride at Nassahegon State Forest in beautiful Burlington, CT.
