    Wishful thinking

I spend way too much time on the Merritt, I wish they would make a trail from Trumbull to Stamford so that I wouldn't spend my time daydreaming while I'm parked staring at car bumpers.

That'd be so sweet, and its already being discussed. Its called the Merritt Parkway Greenway and there have been meetings about it in various towns. I went to the stamford meeting last year, think they were working their way up the line from there. Tough putt is from residential owners that don't want folks riding or hiking/walking along their back yard... If you want to go to a meeting happy to pass along the info.

I've heard about the Merritt Parkway Greenway too. It would be pretty sweet although I have a feeling the cost of it will be enormous.

If completed, it would be a link to this- East Coast Greenway

It's a 2900 mile trail that will be entirely off road (but mainly paved trails), and it's currently 28% complete.
I call for a mandate to allow only road bikes on trails to limit our speeds and increase our line picking skills-FB

The Air-Line trail has improved in Hampton, so much over the last ten years, that now I ride a hybrid instead of a mountain bike. The trail has been paved at the Willimantic line.

This is a state where there are constant law suits about beach access. It would be great if it happened but in many areas it would be tough to convince people.

Does anyone know when the farminington Canal will be finished? Once I get to a certain point in Chesire it seems like it just ends.

The Cheshire trail pick up on Cornwall and you can ride it into New Haven. On the opposite end it starts in Southington and you can ride that all way up through Farmington and beyond for the most part.
