    Rocky Neck State Park

Anyone ridden there? Tried it first time today, some cool trails, nothing overly technical, at least not the ones I rode which is good for me

Explored for about an hour behind the grassy parking lot camp site area. Not sure where the hell I was going but ended up at various Rt. 156 areas. Gonna have to go back.

There is some tech in there if you travel the right direction mostly toward the ocean. Check on crankfire.com for some GPS tracks and you will get an idea. Parking on 156 is a good way to start the system. good luck.

I think I was running parallel with the ocean....not sure actually, I was riding alot of trails that had the dog walking signs. I didn't realize it until I rode into the park that parking was free now but I can see parking along 156 during the summer.

I ride Rocky Neck usually twice a week. There are actually two wall rides in that section. The rocks you see from the pavilion at the end of the video are a lot of fun too. Some good tech if you know where to go.

little late, but scanning through and found this post..

there is a bunch of little sections at RN. great little place to ride. (even better when you live less than a mile away) there are a few "hidden" sections that are fun. though hidden doesn't apply so much as more and more people have been finding the trails and they are getting a really nice packed down base.

have done a BUNCH more vids and like stated above there are GPS tracks posted on Crankfire. If you don't have a GPS you can just blow he map up full screen and print out a screen shot for a map. The DEP has a 1/2 decent map also but doesn't include everything.

If you want a tourI only live a mile away and as long as you don't want to fly I'm more than willing. Have minor shoulder injury so I'm going slow-ish and walk the few tech spots.

Will do. There was a time in my life when I was a regular weekend warrior. Since moving to Rhode Island in 2000 I explored some of the popular rides in RI and MA, but never got back into a regular habit - instead focusing on Triathlon.

I've got a big multi-day ride planned for late August though, so I will be getting my climbing legs back in shape.

I'll give a shout next time I come through the area (my in-laws live near so I'm sure to be down with a working bike in the next month or so....)
