Thanksgiving morning you do not have many options. Sleep in, run the road race or watch a loved one make food. How about an easy bike ride with fellow bikers? Two years ago we came with the idea of making an annual Turkey Day Ride In Manchester. It is on a dirt rail trail that goes from Manchester to Columbia. For time purposes we will be riding starting at the Depot On Church Street Vernon and riding to Steeles' Crossing before turning around. The first year we had 6, and last year we had 21. This year we are aiming for 100 plus. There are many places to park. The lot Colonial Road trail head,,,,Church Street lot has limited parking,rt 30 there is a trail head where there are many businesses will be closed, so parking should not be a problem. In Manchester there is the industrial park with all of its side streets and lots.
Meet at the Vernon Depot On Church at 8:00. We want to make this a big event someday. We are going to be asking for one canned good so we can donate to a foodbank.
