    Gay City (red trail question)

Which direction of travel is "easier"? (For my girlfriend-really). Thanks.

I would say counter clockwise, only to avoid the climb up from the Blackledge River bridge to the Yellow-Red junction. But if she's a beginner, there are likely to be some hike-a-bike sections for her either way you go, so it really doesn't matter. One suggestion might be to take yellow back to parking, avoiding the last leg of red.

Use it, use it, use it while you still have it.

Counter-clock is the most commonly traveled path.

A great place to take a beginner is Robinson in Agawam, Mass. Start at the school at the end of Begley Street.

I have never been here. What is the riding like? Are the trails marked physically on the trail? Are there unmarked trails worth exploring?

    thanks
