CT NEMBA and the Friends of Goodwin Forest are hosting a beginner/intermediate mountain bike ride Sunday as part of the CT Trails Day celebration. Location is the Goodwin Forest Conservation Education Center, 23 Potter Rd. in Hampton, CT (DEP: James. L. Goodwin State Forest). Participation is free to the general public; just make sure to bring a helmet and working mountain bike. The beginner ride starts at 9:30 and will last approximately one hour, followed by an intermediate ride of about 2 hours. Feel free to come and do one or both rides.
This is a great chance to tour the little-ridden trails in the Goodwin and Natchaug State Forests.
