    Crandalls solo today

Great solo "headspace" ride today. We are losing the little bit of snow we have had on the ground for the last few weeks. After two weeks of pretty cold weather (for us) it kind of feels like winter is losing its grip a little today. Yeah, I know there's more cold weather and definitely more snow before the real end of winter, but I look at the forecast, feel the warmish temps and see the snow melting and I know winter is losing some intensity.

    Getting up:

    and down:

    More down:

    and some lean:

Great day in the woods on the fatty, surely the right bike for this type of ride where speed is not even part of the equation and fun is right at the top of the list.

I had limited time last night and it was a place where there was good sunlight coming in.

Dry enough to ride for those of us on skinny tires?

There is still a bit if snow on top and all the hiking trails are icy. I think it will take a few weeks off warm weather before it's really rideable. It was frozen when I ride the other night.

i rode last week, and am going out somewhere tomorrow. I'm in more southern CT, most snow is gone off the trails, and most everything is pretty hard, including the water crossings. Almost good the way the snow petered out, less fuel for the muddy time.
