Shimano SPD XTR Trail - replacment parts

I was trying to clean and service my bearings in my XTR Spd Trail pedals, and the small locking nut broke off.. Does anyone know if and where I can order a new axle versus buying all new pedals?

LBS should be able to source them from the Shimano distributor. They are left and right handed, so make sure you get the correct one. New Zealand pricing was about $60 each side for the whole axle assembly with bearings for one pedal (i.e. nearly half the price of a new set of pedals from CRC).

If you want to go online instead then there are one or two smaller online places selling them as well.
