    Wind Map

At a glance wind strength and directions to let you know if your commute is going to be easy or hard.

    Wind Map

If nothing else, it looks really cool.

They were right, it was windy, even the mega-flag at the Dodge dealer was straight out. But it was a bit more headwindy on my route than the map suggests.

Wow, thanks for the link! Pretty fascinating beyond just the practical applications.

Were you able to see any marked locations when you zoomed it in? With both Safari and Chrome (didn`t work at all with IE), I was able to zoom down and see a Reno dot, but no roads and no indications of my little valley. I would expect to be able to see local "swirlies" around the independently standing mountains, but couldn`t make out anything like that. And couldn`t pick out anything closer to you than Manchester, NH.

Side note: A few months ago I followed a link to a map showing all commercial aircraft across the globe- 24 hours worth condensed into about one minute. That was really cool! But I don`t remember where it was
    Recalculating....

^^ I didn't realize you could zoom in, I just noticed the entire state looked windblown from the south!

Auntie Em, we're not in Kansas anymore. But we're close. Cool stuff going on in the middle of the states (It looses something without the animation):

Not to get too far off topic.

Cursor position on map does show longitude and latitude along with wind speeds.
