    SS Crankset For Road Commuting

i am building an SS commuter and am looking for a crankset to run a pretty big gear 42t or more. Can anybody suggest one. It is going to go onto a Raleigh XXIX.

    What's your budget?
Most road cranks will clear the chainstays since you'll be using a 135mm spaced hub.
White Industries ENO would work for sure, otherwise just pick up one of the cheap track cranks on eBay. Look at Suginos, such as the Messenger.

ENO's look really cool. They are going on the want list.

Be aware that a big chainring may not clear the chainstay on some mtn bike frames. I had to use a longer BB spindle with my Sugino SS crank to not make contact using a 48T and bigger rings. A 44T ring likely won't be a problem.
