I go to Beijing a lot on business. I have been trying to get to the Olympic mtb course. Haven't made that yet.

My son rides (and curses at cyclists in Mandarin and English). He says the largest vehicle has the right of way and that fellow cyclists are nuts and he has kicked at ones that grazed him. He wears a mask of some sort to ride. Beijing is LA as it would have been without the EPA.

Yeah, Beijing air quality is bad. Austin is ~25 most days, a bad day in LA is ~100. Beijing is typically 2-300, my worst day there was 420 and they were not sure our plane was going to be able to take off. This past year it hit 700.

If you are going to ride there you must have a mask.
