    Possible Trunk Bag?

Adventure Designs (ADVDesigns.com) sent a catalog with this 'tail bag':

Motorcycle Luggage, Saddlebags & Bags by Wolfman: Peak Tail Bag

Normally $129.99 (the ADVDesigns web site 10% off: $99.99). Catalog Price? $17.99!

    10" x 9" x 6" though slightly wedge shaped. 500 cu in, 8 liters.

So is this thing going to be way too heavy even for the price? Made in USA. Comes with a waterproof cover as I understand the writeup.

Is this a no-brainer or a too heavy for a commuter to consider bag? You can order a catalog, and if you get the same catalog, I assume get this price.

Nice bag for $18. Most likely pretty heavy, but I`d guess the mounting would be a bigger issue if you want to use it with a standard rear rack. Most are roughly 6 inches wide, so if you cinch the straps tight, it would probably suck the bottom of the trunk in to match that width. And no QR. Nice that the steel hooks are not sewn into place, so they can be easily removed without surgery.

Wolfman stuff is highly recommended over in the motorized biking world. It would be a heavy bag for sure, should last forever on a bicycle.

I used a Nashbar rack trunk on my little kawasaki dual sport for a long time! haha
