New light Serfas TSL-1500 - Holy smokes batman.

I've been commuting using a cheap-o chinese XM-L lightset I picked up on E-Bay for $35. It worked great, super bright, held a great charge, etc until a few weeks ago. It gradually faded slowly to where it was about as bright as a pen light and now won't take a charge. It was voltage regulated and would just cut out so I figure something went wrong in the voltage circuit.

So...I stumbled upon a great deal at Pricepoint on a Serfas TSL-1500 light with free shipping for $219. I read the 2013 lights shootout, it was well reviewed and actually lab measured to put out a little over 1500 lumens.

Let me say...jeez this thing is ridiculously bright. I'm a little concerned about pissing off motorists.

I've got the slightly cheaper TSL-1000 and it's a fantastic commuting light, I do aim mine down a bit so as to not blind oncoming traffic though.
