    Looking for good tie-down solutions

I bought an Axiom trunk bag but occasionally, I have too much junk and I need to put more on the top. Bungee cords always seem to be too long or too short. A couple of straps/buckles with hooks would do the trick as long as they didn't vibrate loose.

    What do you do?

    Thanks!

I use some cargo straps with rubber-coated hook ends and a cam buckle, much like these:

It's easy to wrench them down properly and I've not had one come loose yet.

I use bungee cords and just wrap them more times or around something smaller to achieve the proper length.

I sometimes use old innertubes. I cut the stem section out. These don't slip and are cheap. Plus, I'm, not throwing away old tubes.

Thanks for that. I have some motorcycle tiedows just like that. However, I should have been more specific in my original post. I am looking for ways to tie things on the back of my bike.

Get some sleeping bag straps from a camping store. I use them to strap down sixpacks and pizza. They dont stretch.
