For what size wheel and tire? My usual choice is SKS as recommended by NateHawk but Planet Bike makes nice ones too (I went with theirs because they have some that can fit a 29x2.3 tire) and then there are tons of others, you can get fancy like from Velo Orange, etc etc

I wonder if he means wrapping forward? I've thought that would be nice in certain situations. I used to have a flap on the front fender to knock down that water the front wheel throws forward and if the wind is just right comes back in your face. Doesn't rain here.

Planet Bike are my fender of choice.

For more wrap than company's products usually give, someone posted in a thread here about using two front fenders conjoined using the fork bolt flange of each on either side of the fork and extra stays to support the front part.

I think I'd rather put a flap on the front edge of the fender than doing that.

Try making a flap out of duct tape that can lightly drag the front tire when its raining or pulled up if its dry.

That's a solid idea. A rear fender on the front was what I thought of when I lived in Oregon. But when its raining like that would call for I just resign myself to getting wet! A rear on the front would require making stays too, which would obviously need to be well thought out. Don't want anything getting caught in the front wheel.

    Or move to the desert...

I still dream of Honjo Hammertone fenders in the 29x2.3 size, or thereabouts! But the alarm clock keeps going off.
