    Commuter Tunes

I hooked up a little "sound system" to my commuter last night and put on some 700 x 28cm armidillos. Both worked great this morning...I used some velcro tape on the back of the speaker to the frame then a velcro strap around just to make sure. The speakers are Sony SRS-T33 takes just 2 AAA. Seems to run for quite a while. You can actually crank the MP3 player and hear the music with the speakers unpowered, but it's a little low unpowered...

I like it, but I bet my iPod and headphones are lighter

Not to hijack, but what bars/brake levers are those? I like 'em.
You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)

I bet they are. I can't ride with headphones on the road, makes me nervous. I ride past 3 major High schools and the way to work so I have to really keep a ear out for littlebastards playing "Fast and the Furious"...

Cane Creek 200TT levers. Not sure on the bars. I scored the bike on craiglist and they were already on there.

+1 to not riding with headphones, people *walking* around disconnected from their environment are enough of a hassle.

I have the luxury of being in a very, very rural area. I see more deer on my commute than people. They get the heck out of the way. I don't even brake anymore.

Seriously, I see maybe 10 cars between my house and my job. I wouldn't do headphones in the city.
