    Cold weather and CO2 cartridges

    I found out the hard way that you shouldn't hold your CO2 cartridge in your bare, wet hands in freezing temperatures while inflating your tire! Just a tip for those like me who didn't already know this.

    Yeah, I won't make that mistake again so no pics! Although think of that scene in "A Christmas Story" with the flagpole and tongue, that should give you an idea.

    Ive made that mistake once, then i cut a piece off of an old tube to insulate my hand and it works really well for me.

    BTW- you shouldn't hold an uninsulated CO2 cartridge while discharging it, in the summer either.
