    Blowing my own horn

Today marks twenty years of commuting to work by bike for me.
And I still haven't saved the money that I thought I was going to.
Tonight I'm going to raise a glass of either a Wellington Russian Imperial Stout or a Lava Smoked Imperial Stout and then tomorrow I'm going to start on my third decade of riding to work
    Cheers, Dave

Nice work! You might not have saved a ton of money, but think about all the stress that has been relieved, the fitness you have gained and the fun that you have had.

20 years? Awesome! Congratulations! Do you follow your bike commuting anniversary every year?

Twenty years. Not bad. Not bad at all. Spending the money on good stout has its merits!

Nice job. I've done it off and on for 20 years, quite a bit for 5 an almost exclusively for 2. One of the best parts is that fact that you can enjoy a stout and know that you've already burned the calories.

My wife actually took me out to the local for a pint ( A Muskoka Oddity, which, although not a stout, is a good strong beer ). I celebrated 10 years of commuting and now 20 years of commuting. I think I may celebrate 25 years as well. Why wait a decade eh?
    Cheers, Dave
