    Big Fenders

Looking for some recommendations for large fenders. Will be running 29er 2.1 tires on the Karate Monkey for an urban assault ride. Are planet bikes' my only choice?

Ditto on the SKS. They're nice and sturdy.

Depends what you mean by big. The PDW mud shovel is really fat and plenty long, but is not a "full fender". https://www.ridepdw.com/goods/fender...ud-shovel-rear
I originally bought it for the fatbike, but moved it to the MTB for commuting after the SKS M.O.M. fell apart (two have done that, the plastic pins just don't hold after awhile), and it has been set it and forget it. The SKS D.A.D. for the front is still working great and has good (but not "full") coverage.

Just recently Velo Orange told me they're expecting aluminum fenders sized to cover 29" Big Apples by late spring.

SKS Bluemels 65mm width. Plenty of coverage on my 29x2.1 and theyre even longer than most fenders.

I shelled out for a set of those (the radiused ones) for my girlfriends touring bike. They are gorgeous and come with very nice hardware.

I have these sks schockboard fenders (i think thats what they're called).

they work great and take maybe 30 seconds to take of or put on.

The new one are nice too. They have a flare at the back for extra coverage. I used one of the 29er ones on my KM till I got new forks and was very happy with it.

Using PB Cascadias on my Surly Ogre, and I've used them with 2.35 Big Apples...they work great. I'm a huge fan of full coverage rather than the clip-on style. I ride enough trails that I appreciate the Rubbermaid aspect of the Cascadias. They can take a beating.
You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)

I'm having the Gilles Berthoud stainless steel fenders installed this week on my Ogre, running the stock WTB 29 x 2.1 tires that come with the complete build kit.

    I ordered in the 700 x 60 size.

If you want to see what they look like, rifraf has an Ogre with them installed as well.

Just another possible option for you.
