    New Commencal Owner

Just picked up a 2008 Combi-S. It's my first full suspension bike, and I got it for next to nothing.
I'm taking it up for it's first ride at Galbraith Mountain tomorrow. I've already swapped out the pedals with my Kona Jackshit Primo's.
Any suggestions for future upgrades for this rig?

Well, I don't feel like helping if you don't put any pictures up!

Upgrades, it depends where/how you ride and your size. For example, I'm 205 lbs, so my meta6 has wheels that some people use for DH.

To save weight in a cheap way, OEM cassettes and seat posts on bikes like that are usually boat anchors. On my Supreme DH I dropped 1/4 of a pound going from their seat post to a Truvativ team.

Low end Mavic wheel sets are fairly light and roll great. Or Mavic rims with Shimano XT hubs are a good combo. If you're feelin' like spending some cash the high end Mavic tubeless wheels sets (CrossMax) are sweet. Or a high end hub on any rim you want.

I'd say the rest of the bike will serve you great.
You have just been mentally Rick Roll'd. Yup you're thinking about it right now aren't you? Don't fight it.
