    My 2009 Meta 5

    Hello folks,

I thought I'd share some pictures of my Meta 5.

I purchased the frame separately and built it up with a selection of parts suitable for all round trail riding, i.e not too light and not too flabby. Originally I had a '08 frame, but that cracked and was replaced (under warranty) with this 2009 VIP frame in retina scorching Team Neon Green. Unfortunately the pictures donít do the colour justice

    Specification:
    Meta 5 VIP (medium)
    Fox 32 Float R 15 QR
Hope Pro II + NoTubes Flows + Schwalbe Little and Fat Albert tyres
    Formula Oro Bianco (180 F + 160 R)
XT drive train + SLX shifters + SRAM chain
    Sunline AM1 stem + V1 Bars
    SDG I-beam saddle + post
    Crankbros Acid pedals
    Blackspire Stinger

    Nice build man!
    Any idea on overall weight?

What combo are you running on the cranks?

Are those new Formula brakes? I've not seen them before

Thanks. Weight is approximately 29.5 lbs.

Double and bash, with a 22T and 36T rings. The bash guard is a light-weight BBG one which only just covers the middle ring, but with the additional ground clearance I very really catch it on anything.

The brakes are Formula Oro Biancos, which are essentialy polished versions of the standard Orom K24 with one finger levers (i.e. shorter) and sintered pads. They the best brake I've ever used and they look good too.
