    Creaking headset on Meta55 Carbon.

My Carbon Meta55 has developed a severe creaking in the headset area. It is almost a snapping noice combined with the creaking.
I have cleaned out the headsetcups in the frame and the outside of the original bearings with no improvement.
So I bought a new headset from Chainreaction that was recomended for the Metaframes. I put plenty of Pace Carbon Compound Shield Grease on there, but still, there is this loud creaking from the headset.
It does this almost all the time too, braking, pumping the fork up and down and even stearing....
I can not find any cracks on the outside or inside of the frame.

Has anyone encountered this or have any idea of what to do?
Any help would be very appreciated!

I am about to give up on this frame soon!

    /Magnus

Are you certain that you have an Italian standard integrated headset on the bike?

Yes I think I do have an Italian standard integrated headset. It says "Campy IS2S Version" on the box, 45/45 degree.

    This might help:

"Did you put carbon paste between the bearings and their seats in the headtube? If so, that is likely the cause of your creaking. You want to use regular grease there."

Got that from a google search.
