I rode a 05 Meta 5 for 3 weeks this summer and it is amazing!!

very plush, confidence inspiring bike, very solid, yet that contact system for the rear triangle works like nothing I have seen before. You don't need propedal with that frame.

I am getting mine soon... can't wait!!

    Cheers

My first post on the forum...

Yes Commencal bikes are nice, especially the VIP Nuts frame for 2007. Mine rides very well in the region I live.
    I own a VIP Nuts2 frame (2003 series).
    It's a lightweight but not extremely (8.7kg).

Stick to the ground like glue. The progressive suspension works very well, with or without a highly adjustable shock. Very nice rides. Excellent quality, very stiff rear ends, adjustable headangles, a bicycle that has been designed from the ground up... I think this is a company that should do very well.

The west coast distributor is near tahoe. There are several bikes out there to ride but he would know where and who to talk to. His name is Clark Wright and his contact info is 916-765-7163.

I'm with you on that point Umbertom ... it seems a little much for what really is a single pivot design. I can fathom how those linkages leading up to the shock can affect and vary its compression, but I wonder if there is any real perceptible difference compared to if they replaced the triangle with a straight bar (anchored to the same point on the DT), or simply removed it alltogether. I have never ridden those bikes, but I wonder if any of the Comencal engineers could provide some details on the rear suspension, since to me it appears to be a little gimmicky. Nevertheless, the frames appear to be well built.
