    Absolut Chromo brake help!

    So I have 95% finished the rebuild on my DJ but these frames us the goofy bracket from the axle/chain tensioner as the caliper mount also.

    I currently have an Avid 160mm rotor with Hayes 9 caliper and brand new pads but I can't seem to get it all installed without hitting each other.

    without the caliper spacer the caliper sits too low on the rotor. with the spacer (because it is side-mounted toward the rotor) the caliper rubs against the rotor.

    Can anyone show me a proper setup to use on this frame? purchasing a different brake that is more compatible is an option.

    below is a sample pic of what appears to be a properly assembled brake on this stupid bracket.
