    Vail Trip/ Surrounding Area

What's up everybody. My girlfriend and I are gonna be in Vail for 10 days Aug. 2nd-12th. Can anyone clue me in to where we could go to meet some fellow bikers that maybe would be kind enough to show us around the area? Or at least a biker-friendly bar that we could ask people for destination advice, etc? It will be our first time out there and we don't want to waste our time or get lost.

I know, you probably get this all the time. Sorry everyone, but help would be most appreciated.

There's a velo club in Vail. I like the brewpub in Edwards.

Vail and BC have some good rides - just grab a summer trail map from the info areas and let 'er rip. Other rides include Son of Middle Creek, Meadow Mountain, Berry Creek, A-10 and everything in Eagle.

As always, check in with the local shops for more details and maps.

Add Two-Elk to your list. Meadow Mountain is a must do in the area. Village to Village is fun too. Check in with Mountain Pedaler- They have a shop in Minturn and Eagle to get you going in both areas. I say skip Berry Creek... Sorry but that ride sucks.

    great stuff on here

below is the county website with a bunch of trails and printable pdfs

this is all you will need to stay busy. If you like maps, the Latitude 40 waterproof map is an excellent resource for this entire area (the bible) available at any outdoor /biking shop in the county

Shuttle from Vail to Vail Pass?

Is there a commercial shuttle to Vail Pass from Vail or Minturn? Sure would be nice for riding Commando.
