    The Underated San Juans

    What a fantastic ride accros Engineer Pass. This trail has everything you could hope for and then some. Does anyone have the GPS data on this ride? There was mucho more climbing than I had expected. The extra suffering for me made the ride what it was: perfect. Thanks to those who made the suggestions on this forum. My pics can do it no justice. Simply proof of accomplishment.

    Some stats from my ride:
    Forest Service Trail Workers = 3
    Backpackers = 4
    Other bikes = 0
    Trees down = several.

    Plus plenty of horse chop on the last 2 miles or so. No way am I complaining. I realize and appreciate what this ride offered. I riped off a good one without being chased out by storms. The mtb gods were good to me on this day. See you again in Sept.

    Last time I did Engineer Pass on a motorcycle (Alpine Loop) was in August and ended up in a Blizzard... Have fun in September! Hehe

    Great pictures! I would love to bring my bike up there some time.
