Leaf conditions on the western slope

My wife and I are headed to GJ, then Montrose and beyond this weekend. Are there any areas with colored leaves 'n' stuff?
    Thanks.

The junipers and pinions at 18 road are a nice shade of green.

Grand Mesa is pretty colorful right now. Mother in law went over it yesterday (GJ, over the top, back through Delta).

Just outside of Montrose (SW), I would assume the Dallas divide area would be great... (between Ridgeway and Telluride). Maybe Last Dollar road?

    Or the Uncompaghre Plateau.

I found some color out there on Sunday. We were up near 9500 feet. Should be going off all over right now! Get out and enjoy it!

Cottonwood Pass near Buena Vista and the east side of Wolf Creek Pass was really epic yesterday. Tons of the awesome salmon colored and super bright yellow Aspens. My wife said Silverton to Durango was going off as well.

Watch out for traffic if you want to get some photos. I saw three really close calls between roadside photogs and large motorized vehicles yesterday.

Drove Silverton/Durango today and got in a long ride at Red Mtn pass--aspens are at the peak. Rain/snow predicted for Wednesday night, though.

Rode Durango today. The colors are popping. I've never seen so many Niner riders in one area. Cross link, posted on it here.
