    July 4 - Is Commando/2- Elk melted?

Anybody know if Commando Ridge to 2-Elk from Vail Pass or 2-Elk via Grand Traverse is melted and rideable for July 4 weekend?

    thanks.

I rode grand traverse to two elk, yesterday. Absolutely flawless. By the way, right as you pass the bottom of the skyline lift, there is a cliff drop on your left. Thinking of building a transition on the bottom. Good idea, right??

Did you ride it from the top of Vail Pass? Wondering if that is clear of snow?

I'm sure that it's dry out there. I prefer not to shuttle so usually start in Vail somehow. I'm actually about to ride it right now, want to join? I'm thinking that I'll start with the gondola. My legs are very sore from driving my pedicab

I rode up Vail mountain to Eagle's Nest, then around Grand Traverse to 2-elk into Minturn.

Last week I met some folks along the way who come from Vail Pass via Bowman's shortcut and they commented that they did a fair amount of hike-a-bike through snow, fwiw.
