    Two words FU
Back Country................It's the gift that keeps on giving. No lift lines, good exercize, and it's a "choose your own adventure" every time. Plus, you won't have to wait 'till Wolfie gets dumped on to make some turns.

I'm getting more intrigued by this backcountry business all the time. Now if I could just quit spending money on bike parts....

    Hank,

Backcountry is a hoot, you should recognize these two.

You would be wise to take him up on it.

Be warned though, it'll ruin you for skiing/riding inbounds. I'm finding less joy all of time at the resorts. The lines, the beaters, the big crowds. If I didn't want to ride with my wife and little guy, I'd never go to a resort.

As soon as things fill in and the snowpack up high stabilizes. Hermosa and I tried to put a sultan trip together last year but it didn't work out, I wound up taking a different partner and we had a blast. That's a line that can be redone for sure.

Backcountry does make the most sense to me out of all the winter sport options. But seeing as I am working 7 days a week this winter, I don't think there will be much opportunity for taking up new hobbies.
