Looking for some help finding good camping spots around Pagosa Springs. I'd like to stay on the west side. I have a 30' toy hauler so it's not easy to go exploring without any idea of being able to find a spot. I'm looking for a nice spot to set up "home" for 4 days. I don't like campgrounds, would rather enjoy the experience out in the forest dry camping. It'd be nice to be close to a lake for fishing but not necessary. It would give the family something to do when I'm out finding singletrack.
Speaking of single track. Ideas for that are awesome as well. Backcountry rides of up to 40 miles and 4000' are welcome.
Thanks guys, I'll also be spending time in Durango and Telluride but have been there enough times to know where the dry camping is.
