    Boobytraps in the da'Gulch

Just an F in yer I

Yesterday, came whipping down through the quarry, and on that first sandstone slab - before the droplets - someone had rolled a HUGE boulder into the middle of the trail.

    Not a naturally occurring rockfall.

    Keep your eyes open.

    That's great news.

Thanks for the heads up though!

I don't know if a rock qualifies as a boobytrap. And if that is a shared use trail, you should be able to stop before you hit it.

It qualifies as sabotage and poor judgement, regardless.

If it was intentionally placed you are correct.

It was definitely intentionally placed. Probably ~250lb, and no way that it could have migrated naturally. It was immediately around a blind corner, right before a 3' ledge.
