    18 Road campsite question

Can you reserve the established campsites at 18 Road or are they first come, first served? I looked at the BLM website and it doesn't mention anything about it one way or the other. I'm trying to plan a trip for April and wanting to know if I need to get there early or if I can reserve one and roll in whenever. Thanks.

plenty of free dispersed camping on the BLM land just before you get to the trailhead parking area. Look for dirt road on your right. So don't worry about the regular camp spots being full.

Arrive on a Wednesday or early Thursday and you can find a site. Arrive on Friday and you'll be out of luck.
BDKeg is correct you can find a spot out side of the BLM campground but it will be in the open desert- no trees, no toilets, etc. not a problem if you are prepared for it.
