Why would anyone move to Colorado Springs? Isn't it like the Salt Lake City of Colorado? I've lived in the state for a decade and never had the urge to visit that corner.

It's not just the religious fanatics. It's also the Airforce, Republicans, and meth heads. I'll get down there someday to check it out though. Been wanting to ride Pueblo Reservoir during the winter. Golden seems a much better place to headquarter a bike company though, what with the multitude of nearby riding, both lift accessed and XC. Maybe Rockshox should come up?

I think the general bankruptcy of the city is going to keep business from moving to CS. It's one thing to be business friendly and have low taxes, but a city that can't afford to keep it's street lights lit doesn't provide the infrastructure for a business to grow in.

Yes. I don't get along with conservatives and military types. I also don't get along with rich "liberal" Boulder types either so don't take too much offense.

Golden? multitude of riding nearby? laughable... you really need to get our more....
p.s. there's a reason why everyone in Denver/Golden/Boulder needs a bike rack on their car.
"Nearby" meaning Keystone, Sol Vista, Vail, Winter Park for lifts.
JeffCo parks, Idaho Springs, Summit County for pedal access. Don't the Yeti guys ride to Apex on their lunch breaks?
I don't consider Golden in the same light as Boulder and Denver. If you're riding a bike from the office it's considerably closer to trail riding areas. It's also half an hour closer to mountains off I-70. And yeah, I do need to get "out more" and ride at Pueblo Reservoir but this winter I've been riding Salida a lot cuz a friend moved down there.
Yeti staff pedals to the trails every day at lunch, most of the people I know in Golden ride from their doors to White Ranch, Chimney, Apex, MW/DR/GM, and the Table Mtns. Those are some solid dailies.
What do people pedal to in the Springs? Depends what side of that big ass town you might live in I suppose, and how much you want to expose yourself to traffic.
Back in the olden days, I pedaled to Cheyenne Canyon zone and Palmer from CC. I never dodged bullets up on Rampart while dropping into questionably legal canyon trails, but they sound fun. Fun riding, but no better than the Golden dailies.
Yeah, how on earth could a bike company contribute to a place that's as anti freedom, anti liberty, anti fun as Golden? Might as well be sending money to the Communist party and the Sahara Klub.
