    Yet another right-of-way post...

I don’t mean to open a(nother) huge can of worms, but why do people seem compelled to ride off the trail when a rider is coming from the other direction?

Seriously, I did the same ride two days in a row, and each time about half-a-dozen riders went completely off the trail when our paths intersected (High Plains Trail between Superior and Boulder). I’m not trying to power trip, but is it too damn difficult to stop, lean your bike, and let the other rider go?

I’d like the singletrack to stay single, but I suspect that the trail is getting wider due to all the off-trail use.
