    Winter Solstice at Kenosha Pass

A broad new opportunity awakens in the winter

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513037104/player/0dc2f7e5ff" height="600" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

An opportunity to see our favorite summer haunts in an scenery devoid of color, cold n stark and beautiful all the same

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513088796/player/6821e5fece" height="448" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

a place where we can reflect, sit back and enjoy the winter

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513036484/player/2f10719f41" height="572" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

The way forward gets blocked sometimes though. Even a Fatbike can have trouble wading through windblown snow and untracked, crusted powder over 10" deep. So we discover new paths

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513088316/player/dc0f94b985" height="572" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

and thank the snowshoers before us for laying miles and miles of tracked in snow

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513007255/player/632f345eb9" height="800" width="600" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

where we can view our same beautiful mountains from a different perspective

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513007595/player/e32d080753" height="573" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

and enjoy the quiet of the forest that surrounds us

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513087926/player/223088bbf2" height="600" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

sometimes we have to discover what drives us and pursues us in order to overcome the fears of what lies in those shadows and discover what shines through

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513086166/player/61a34b3951" height="320" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

I'll let my bike take me places that I never dreamed of as a child of the Coast

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513006355/player/40fcd12d66" height="600" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

and I'll keep chasing those places the best I can

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513088166/player/d534cb25c2" height="800" width="600" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

on a bike that takes me there

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/goatshell/11513085616/player/c1bbcd267e" height="600" width="800" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>
