Does anyone have any information on the Winter Park Series race schedule for this summer?

Forgive my ignorance, but what types of races does Winter Park hold?

XC, and then there is Crankworx Colorado, although that is more of a slopestyle comp. I think they also have a SD and DH race the same weekend.

Has anyone raced the Hill Climb? Just wondering if it's a brutal, lung-burning first race.

Yes, it is brutal and lung burning, but as far as first races go, i think it's a great one.

It's not technical at all, which eliminates some of the first race jitters bc you won't have to make split second decisions re: what to do to pass someone in a tight spot (or how to let someone pass you in a tight spot).

It's a great atmosphere, and draws big crowds, so you can really soak up the experience.

It's a steady grade, so you can really get into a nice groove and stay there the whole time.

It's fairly short, so even if you blow up, you're not far from the finish.

    I say go for it....

Nice. Thanks for the info. The only one I raced lst year was the Cross Country Super Loop...hopefully I can get to all of them this year.
