    Will Winter Park be ready?

The Winter Park Hill Climb is on June 11. Do they plow the road if it's snowpacked? Tons of snow in the mountains at this time.

Jeez I hope it's ready. Downhill biking season is short enough already. The snow needs to go!!

They've plowed it in years past. I'm more worried about Teva games in two weeks, where we're supposed to race on singletrack. I heard a rumour they might have to dig some of the trail out by hand at Vail. Big snow years make for late starts to the high-country mtb season.

Rumor around town is cancellation of the cc . We did get a ton of rain yesterday and the sun is out today.

Ugh, I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised really.

You don't even ski. That would ruin your summer.

I'm worried about Teva too... slopestyle courses don't do well in mud

If anything, the hill climb should be postponed, not cancelled. At least, that's what they did last year.

Poured rain all day yesterday and last night. Arrowhead is almost melted out and the lower slopes at Vail are brown. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for sun. I think the Slopestyle venue is almost clear.

Do you think they will just change the course so it doesn't go so high up Vail Mountain?

Given that Winter Park and Whistler are majority owned by the same company I can only hope they take the same approach to getting trails open.

Abasin, 99" base, 3" of fresh and still snowing. I bet they make it well into July.
You have just been mentally Rick Roll'd. Yup you're thinking about it right now aren't you? Don't fight it.

hmm... it's a mini golf conspiracy...

I saw them digging out the mini golf course at beaver creek today too. I think it's because those minigolfers have the big cash!

The resorts might do well to rent some Pugslys. That WP pic is seriously depressing...
