Who needs a horse to go fox hunting ?

After all the Jillwagons derailed my ride last week, I went out for revenge. "It was a dark and stormy weekend ", so I knew with the low light the foxes would be out and about. I armed up with my weapon of choice and went on the hunt.

I knew I had a lot of miles to cover, so I mounted my favorite steed and headed out to the trails.

Yesterday was mostly fruitless, despite covering almost 8 miles.

This is the only clean shot I was able to take yesterday.

Today was an entirely different story, everywhere I looked, I saw a fox.

This is the mother of the den I found earlier this week out hunting mice for her brood.

And a bold guy waiting for Easter Brunch at the mouth of their den.

A few miles away , an old den I knew of has been reoccupied.

She was really skittish, with good reason, this guy looked "bad".

A couple of miles away, another "hunch" paid off.

Sometimes you get lucky and get 2 in one shot.

But another den, that I had a "strong suspicion" was occupied, definitely was, by a VERY protective mother. I couldn't get within 50 yds before she sent everyone into their burrows.

Grand total in 2 days, 42 mi, 21 foxes.

Nice. You have a lot of patience.

I'm thinking one of those would make a pretty damn cool hat.

great shots man! I just love foxes, we used to have one around our house... I don't think he got along with my dog though.

my fav fox shot I've got...

this guy kept running to the front of the den & barking at me... a born badazz for sure!

I think you got more shots in a day than I've gotten in most years!!!
