White Ranch, Walker Ranch & Devil's Backbone Update

Went to Walker Ranch today, still very snowy (and insanely windy). Probably be an absolute mess tomorrow after the warm temps today and tomorrow. Didn't even get the bikes unloaded.

Kept going to White Ranch. Much better than Walker, but still pretty soupy. We started out on Belcher, but didn't even make it to the split before turning around. Muddy in spots, packed snow in spots, and a few completely dry spots. We probably could have continued on but didn't want to do any more damage so we turned back. There was a set of tracks that kept going up Belcher, but it didn't seem to be getting much better as we went so we gave up.

Also, rumor has it that Devil's Backbone is still soupy, so looks like that is out for tomorrow as well. Sounds like the Springs is the only option for what looks to be a gorgeous Saturday in December.

There is a lot of snow here up north. With the warm temps things are really messy. It might be a good weekend to get out the (ugh) road bike.
We don't need more to be thankful for; we just need to be more thankful.
