I was thinking we'd go up Jenny Creek from Eldora. Possibly returning via Rollins Pass Rd to make a loop. I inter-thieved a GPX file that we'll follow.

Did this dude ride through all kinds of private land or am I mistaken?

I think you're correct NoHg - thanks for pointing that out. The Latitude 40 map shows about a mile (maybe more?) of private property along the route they took to get to Jenny Creek Rd from the Magnolia Rd TH. Appears that the section is just south of Lake Eldora. The Latitude map shows a trail to Eldora that would bypass the private property, but who knows if we'll be able to find it. As we're not interested in spending a lot of time route finding, we'll probably just end up riding up the Rollins Pass Rd (from Rollinsville) as an out and back instead. Or starting from Eldora and riding Jenny Creek and adding extra miles by going to Rogers Pass.

With all of the Fort Collins area stuff closed, we're seeking out longish rides that aren't too far away. Would like to get 40+ miles and some good climbing in, but it's proving harder then I thought!

    EDIT: I brought the LULZ, didn't I?

Are you going up the main Forest Service Road out of rollinsville?

The 7.5 minute topo shows a "pack" trail that follows Jenny creek and then appears to stay south of the Eldora property.
Haven't found said trail yet but I am really interested in doing the ride and would like to stay off the NF-149 if possible.

Yeah, we ended up just doing an out and back on Rollins Pass Rd (starting in Rollinsville) up to the tunnel. Kind of boring riding, but gave us the mileage and climbing we were looking for. Can't complain about the views though. Was nice to be at 11,000 ft when the summer heat set in.

I don't care what the name is, that place rules. I just got back from daytripping down there, stopping in The Springs afterwards to visit an old friend.

Although you may not see or find the trail, this is a great place to ride.
