Where the Colorado trail meets South Platte River

Trying to find the best way to get to this junction. From what I can tell you can either go thru Buff Creek up 96 to South Platte and Twin Cedars... Is this the only way up to that spot? Is it a dirt or pavement road?
    I love my bike!

If you are coming from south of Denver metro, you can get there on Hwy 67 west of Sedalia. There's a section of steep dirt that connects to Hwy 97. From Denver Metro, I'd agree with Foxton Rd.

Take 285 south (west) from Denver and exit at Kennedy Gulch Rd. just past Conifer. Turn left, go under 285 and head south on Foxton Rd. When you get to the river, turn left and go about 8 miles. When the road crosses over the river, go about another 1/2 mile the trailhead parking, etc. will be on your right side. Can't miss it.

If you live in Denver area, get on your bike and ride it to Waterton Canyon. Then ride up Waterton and continue down Segment 1 of the Colorado trail until you reach the Platte. That is the best way.
