    Waterton/CO Trail Report

The six mile huff in is clear but lot's of black ice and the super-clear, super-slippery stuff once you get past the dam.

Yeah... rode that last week... Would be perfect if I had studded tires (at least perfect for the CT up to Lenny's). The ice was crazy slippery in spots.

Studded tires work fairly well on the frozen snow, but they're no match for that clear, hard ice.

I have Nokian Extreme 294's mounted up for the winter season but the best you'll do is end up leaving what looks like cat-claw scratches on the ice following your path to impending doom.

That stuff is worse than crashing on concrete!
