    Waterton 4/28

My buddy and I went up to Waterton/Chatfield area for a nice ride, always a great place to get the SS out and just spin. We started off with headwind and a couple real strong gust but as we continued it got better, down right beautiful. Saw a small group of bighorns. Even managed to see them butt heads once. Sorry the pics are not the best!

You went to the dam and back? Did you do the Roxy loop?

Dam and back then out to chatfield for a quick spin. My buddy didn't feel like doing ROX, he is new to technical and that would be out of his comfort level

Whih loop? The big loop or the Roxy loop? I went over to the IC trailhead for a trail run Tues. Lets just say I never left the trailhead. That's just the southfacing stuff. Most of the trails are northfacing so it's gonna be sometime before it's even close to rideable.

I take it the snow is still pretty bad on IC? It was 2 weeks ago when I tried

I'd give it another 2 weeks at least before the southfacing trails are rideable.

What about the medium loop? I can almost guarantee Stevens Gulch is a horrific nightmare right now.

I didn't make it that way but most of it is southfacing, so I'm pretty sure it's still snowshoe-able.
