    Director of Engineering

    The primary responsibilities include the development of broad
    reaching strategy, planning, and execution of engineering projects
    related to the successful operation of manufacturing facilities
    operating at the highest levels of safety, environmental, cost and
    quality performance. The successful candidate will manage a team of
    engineers and project managers committed to building, and
    continually improving upon a world-class facility. This is an
    executive level position and active member of the company senior
    management team.

    Position requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    7-10 years experience in manufacturing setting managing a
    diverse
    set of engineering and maintenance related projects, which have had
    a significant impact upon developing technical advancement and
    competitive advantage
    Ability to align engineering projects with existing operations
    and
    customer requirements
    Proven success in managing engineering teams within a
    manufacturing setting through a team oriented, customer-focused
    philosophy
    Skilled at mentoring and facilitating senior engineers and
    other
    team members in professional development in alignment with company
    needs
    Previous experience in fast growing, entrepreneurial driven
    organization
    Demonstrated experience with the creation of innovative
    technical
    solutions to complex engineering projects
    Previous experience facilitating master planning processes
    through
    a comprehensive and inclusive methodology

    An ideal candidate for this position would possess the following
    traits:
    Previous experience in brewing and/or food and beverage industry
    International business experience
    Knowledge of quality improvement methodology
    Graduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration or
    related
    field

    All I need is a degree in engineering and some experience...

    Think they'd accept a Bachelor's in secondary ed., a CCNA (and bunches of other hard won IT exp.), Framing experience, 2 dogs and a small bribe ($134.67) in lieu of their current criteria?

    Other than the requirements part, I think that I would be an ideal candidate for this position, I could provide references - all of whom are (or would be, ahem...) big fans of New Belgium's finest.

    Honest.. I love Trippel - I own a balloon tired '49 Schwinn - think it over... I can wait - I swear.
