    walk'er

well, I went to brunch this morning so my day started later than I hoped. I thought I might recon walker.

Started out at crescent meadows heading counter clockwise with just a few flakes falling. The descent was all good to the stairs w/ only 2-3 sections of 4' snow/ice areas. The stairs thankfully were almost dry w/ just a little ice.

The climb out after the river was good 'til the top were longer sections were snow and wet sandy conditions. The switch backs were a mix of ice/snow and the snow was falling harder and sticking. This was the walk'er section.

Traversing to the north parking lot was fun and clear and the descent to the river was fun although visibility was an issue as flakes hit and stuck to my glasses.

The climb back to crescent was mixed old ice and fresh heavy snow.

    back at the car

If there wasn't a fresh 4" on the ground I would say walker had about a week of good weather to be fully ridable but now... not so much.

Yeah, I walked around the divide for a few hours Saturday, then I was able to get in some biking in the afternoon.

actually we were getting fresh tracks off the lift until we decided to hike one last run at around 1:30. 1.5 hours each way and blue skies.

    great day!
