Visiting Golden, CO: Any peeps riding this weekend?

I'll be visiting friends in Golden, CO this weekend and will have Friday and Saturday available for rides. I was wondering if any of the Front Range locals would mind a Northeastern interloper.

Can you also suggest bike shops in the area that have either decent rentals or even better demo bikes that can be rented for a couple of days?

since you'll be in golden anyway, i'd recommend golden bike shop for rentals...

as for riding, post up later in the week and i'm sure someone will be riding (if everyone isn't in moab).

.And following our will and wind . . .
. . .We'll ride the spiral to the end
and may just go where no one's been.

    P.S.
if you're riding on friday (and assuming you're of legal age) ask golden bike shop to point you in the direction of the golden city brewery...

hit up this thread again late thurs, and we'll have a better idea of trail conditions (rain/snow forecast this week). include what 'style' you prefer to ride (smooth XC, technical AM, shuttle-monkey, climbing goat, SS-fool).

I'd probably be down for a ride, but the weather is still bi-polar enough that we can't be sure what will be ridable until closer to this weekend. Whats your riding type and how long of a ride do you want to go on?

+1 for the Golden Bike Shop, I think they have some pretty killer demo/rental bikes.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Given the weather, it looks like I will get in three days of awesome skiing instead of two days of riding and one of skiing. It could be worse ....

I'll keep an eye on the weather and see what the storm brings.

Some people around here aren't nearly as wise as yourself...
