    Video - Horsethief Drop-In - Keaton

Many of y'all know who this is...and where this was shot. For those of you that don't - the Horsethief Bench drop-in in Fruita is pretty beefy techno. This was shot last week, Thursday the 28th. Windy as all get out too.

One nice endo and one nice clean pass:

It was. I downloaded it. Pretty sweet, although that endo didn't look like it felt good.

    Working now.

Good stuff. That endo looked nasty without pads - Lots of sharp, firmly planted rocks on that bit of trail.

Nice. I really like how he's NOT riding the b1tch line.

I just found an new and rather ridiculous line on the drop-in. I'm not positve, but I think it involves hitting every single rock on the way down. Good stuff.

Actually, a by-the-book Scorpion involves a lot more spinal hyperextension (hence the name), as well as pronounced face plantage. Good crash (and drop-in), nontheless.

So you made the H-line your b1tch the other day?

Me and my buddy lined the washed out part with rocks and stuff and got a decent berm started. You can hit it FAST now. And by fast I mean painfully slow, desperately trying not to lock up your wheels.

I wouldn't say it's my b1tch, but I won't be crashing there anymore. Well, crashing as much anyway.

Man keaton that looks like it hurt!

    is making a comeback.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.

Brings back memories. I have seen a broken hand, some dislocated metacarpals, and the best yet a hole punched through the lower lip on this drop in. The lip was some great video, but I could not get the owner to dub it or convert it for me. She was at the site of the endo, hit the brakes too hard, went over the handlebars at the top, did the "I'm trying to fly" arm wave and went face first into the rocks below. Of course to add insult to injury, her bike then landed on top of her. End result was a hole punched through her lower lip. When the were flushing it out, the saline would squirt from her mouth out the hole in her lower lip. I had a front row seat for that one and everytime I ride it, I think of her.
