First, how come the equestrian owners/riders are not required to pick up their animal's crap like the owners of all other animals? Just yesterday I was coming down the southern switchbacks of Morrison Slab and right in the middle of a tech section there's horse's crap and sure enough, my front tire slipped on it, and I lost control. Luckily there wasn't more sh!t to fall into as I wrecked, but I was pretty angry. Why are horses excepted? Their sh!t is the largest and smeliest, to boot.
Second, not so much a question as a suggestion. Namely, all uphill traffic ought to have the right of way. Just yesterday, on two separate occasions, I was making my way up the techy stuff at Dakota, and hikers blatanly were walking right at me, with no intention to get out of the way. I was clearly working hard, and momentum is precious, for them it was as easy as hopping to the rock to the right or left, pausing for a second, and resuming their hike, but instead, they made it a point to stall me out, cause me to dismount, and yield. Granted, that, by law, they behaved legit, I was hoping that the human in them would make them act in a courteus manner, but that was not the case. That's why I'd like to see the law change, as we all know that going uphill is a lot tougher than going down, and momentum is important, regardless of your mode of transportation.
