Assuming my derailer comes in... in.
The older I get, the faster I was.

GM is maybe 60 - 70% dirt on the south side trails. The west side road has even been plowed to the tower. Probably significant mud the next few days during the day though.

I wish - I am usually picking up the kids form the Tae Kwon Do studio by the bar when you guys are heading out.

It's going to be touch and go with the drying out this week. It seems unlikely that it will be cold enough to freeze early enough Thursday if there is still snow. Fingers crossed for you guys (you may need a back up plan to go higher up to where it is still snow packed).

As of tonight (out on foot) the road is clear and everything else was an icy/sloppy mess. But, two days of warm and sun might be enough.

In. Here's hoping for no mud. Trucker, I've still got a derailer and shifter you can borrow.

I believe we are not out of the woods yet with the mud. my GM theory is if i can see snow on gm form my office window in my house- there is gonna be mud. This am i still see snow. I am willing to show up and give it a go if others are? Honestly i have been having so much fun riding snow lately!! DOnt have any solid evidence bc is better than our last hike/ride.

SO throw me some input - i can ride during the day tomorrow so i am not as eager to ride in any mud!

    But im willing to try!

Tomorrow am is a definite 'Si' for me.
Tonight at GM = don't look good....'twas in the mid-40s at 6am. (edit: I was going off of NOAA - which must have had a glitch when I looked. My house temp device says 36f @8:30)

Yeah it will be a mess....I went up the service road on North Table last night after work and that was a little soft....everything else on NTM was a total mess and that has less snow on it than GM right now.

I went to check on Green Mtn conditions on Wednesday (01/04/2012). Saw a rider in the Alameda parking lot; his bike was completely covered with mud. He said many of the trails were "soup."
Probably not worth damaging the trails for a Thursday ride.
